Round 5 of the Sunshine Series was to be held at Murrenbong Scouts at Kurwongbah but Gap Cycles are unable to host the event. It is ideal to reschedule the burnt-out Adare round hosted by The Riders Club to this date, 16th July. TRC had intended to slot into the only date available, 23rd July but that would have meant three XC races in a row - Murrenbong, Adare and the 12Hr which would have led to reduced attendance somewhere along the line. {mos_sb_discuss:3} |

Over the winter months we move our Tuesday morning training sessions from Bielby Rd to Chapel Hill Rd. As from Tuesday 13th June we will be meeting at TC's Bike Barr 209 Moggil Rd Taringa @ 5:50am. We will ride to the location approx 15min as a warm up which allows enough light to start serious training. Also a change of venue creates a new challenge. Any questions email

The Riders Club Committee strongly supports the work of Gillian Duncan from the Gap Creek Trail Alliance (GCTA). We would encourage all our members to join GCTA in support of their work. We also encourage our members to get involved in the work to keep our trails open. |

You just can't help bad luck. Last race rained out this one burnt out. TRC member and Adare Homestead owner John Pinnell sent in these photos of the fire on Friday night which put an end to our race. At this stage we will assess the full extant of the damage towards the end of this week. Many trees have been damaged and make it unsafe to be around. We are currently investigating other date and venue options. Stay tuned. See some more photos  Death Cookies Section of Track aptly named. |

Sunshine Series XC 2 Adare - Postponed |

Sunshine Series XC - Adare 7th May Popstponed The Riders Club has been advised this morning by both the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and the Rural Fire Service that back burning will begin at Adare Homestead and surrounding properties to help control a fire that is burning in the Lockyer State Forest. This back burning will begin tomorrow (Friday 5th May) at 5pm and includes the majority of the course to be used in the race. As we have no control over this back burning and in the interest of everyones safety the race committee has decided to postpone the event. |
